About Us

Proudly Supported by

The Brighton Men's Shed provides an opportunity for men to get together in a social environment to help with personal and community projects.

Members come from all backgrounds and varying workshop skills and there is always another member available to give you a helping hand. Members work on their own projects and, if they wish, can also work on projects that the Shed undertakes within the local community.

The Shed acknowledges the support of the Bayside Council, the North Brighton and Brighton Rotary Clubs, the Freemasons, the RACV and Bunnings. With this support, the Shed has established a modern workshop facility equipped with modern equipment. A special thanks to Bayside Men's Shed (Beaumaris) for their advice and assistance.

There are around 80 members as of Nov 2022, with new members very welcome (see Contact Us).  There is a strong culture of camaraderie and mutual support amongst Members, and, ‘drop in’ visitors who want to see more, are welcome.

The Shed is organised by a volunteer committee that meets on a regular basis. Orientation is given on the larger machinery. The Shed promotes safe working practices but reminds members that the onus is on the individual to look after their own safety and the safety of those around them.

The Brighton Men's shed is affiliated with both the Australian Men's Shed Association (AMSA) and the Victorian Men's Shed Association (VMSA).
